Whistling Pines Golf Course welcomes you to its beautiful 9 hole, 3,045 yard, par 36 course. We are located in Iron River Wisconsin, a vacation paradise with many lakes and amenities. Approximately 15 miles from the scenic South Shore of Lake Superior and a 3/4 hour drive from Superior/Duluth.
We offer a course that will challenge the seasoned golfer and novice alike. Our amenities include cart and club rentals, a modern clubhouse and a practice range with a view.
Whistling Pines Golf and Events Center began in 2001, built on what was formerly the previous owner’s family farmland. In 2005 the course’s clubhouse was built – a hill-top rustic lodge overlooking the panoramic countryside below. The addition of the grand room in 2011 continues the rustic lodge-feel of the main clubhouse area, while a high cathedral ceiling and gas fireplace give a touch of elegance.
With its beautiful location and modern amenities, Whistling Pines Golf and Events Center provides a venue to the Wisconsin Northwoods area that welcomes a variety of events, big or small.
Twenty-four years later, in the fall of 2025, Whistling Pines changed hands to new owner-operators Lon & Sandy. With their love of golf, the outdoors, and project-based improvements, they are happy to call Iron River and Whistling Pines their new home! Stop in. Golf a round.
